“I turned down the job of Hokage for a reason,” he pointed out.  ”So I trust you’re keeping the village under control?”

“You have a point,” she sighed. “Of course I have. Nothing’s going to get past me. I do what needs to be done. Though I can’t give myself all the credit”

“Of course, the village has really been pulling together lately,” he smiled.  ”It makes me glad, seeing people getting along so well…”  He looked away thoughtfully.  ”Well, I should really let you get back to work - it’s been nice speaking again.”

Finally, Jiraiya spotted Sakura walking into the restaurant.  He waved her over, offering her a menu.  The impatient waiter began to hover closer, but Jiraiya shooed him away.  ”Give the girl some space, she’s only just gotten out of bed,” he scolded.  The waiter rolled his eyes and took a few steps back.

Jiraiya turned his attention to the young girl.  ”Now, how did you sleep?  Are you feeling better?”

Sakura sat down at the table and decided that she had to thank Jiraiya. Not everyone would just let her sleep in a luxurious hotel room. “I slept very well.” She told him. “The bed has been very nice, but I guess that shouldn’t surprise me… thanks.” Awkwardly staring at the floor she had to laugh. Then turned her head up, looking straight into his eyes again. “You wanted me to answer some questions, right?”

Jiraiya grinned.  ”If it’s not too much trouble.”  He pulled out a notebook underneath the table, making sure she couldn’t see it.  ”Just tell me a little bit about yourself, I’ll ask more specific questions later.  Just stuff like what you like, what you do…”  He looked directly at the young girl, hoping he’d be able to slip this past the radar without sounding weird.

“…any, uh, close male companions, that sorta stuff.”

“Well you know me, I keep busy.  Maybe you should try it sometime,” he joked.

“Yeah, I wonder what you keep busy with,” she sarcastically said. “That kind of a joke isn’t even funny. Not when you actually do have paperwork waiting for you everyday,” she smirked.

Jiraiya sat down in the restaurant, flipping through the breakfast menu for the fifteenth time.  ”Still looking, thanks,” he said to the waiter who was nervously hovering around, waiting to see if this old man was actually going to order anything.  Jiraiya wasn’t awfully bothered - he wasn’t doing anything to bother the other patrons, so they couldn’t kick him out no matter how long he sat there.

It was true Sakura did look very tired when he found her, but Jiraiya honestly didn’t think she’d sleep this long.  ”Girls like to take their time, don’t they?” he chuckled to himself as he got comfortable for a long wait.

She awoke, without having any clue where she was. Blinking multiple times the pink haired girl slowly sat up in the bed she had been in, not really able to remember how she got here. But she felt awake and a short look on the watch told her that it was about 8am. After standing up she realized that she wore her casual clothing. Then she realized how luxurious the hotel room really was, the memories of the early morning slowly coming back. She had to hurry and find that pervert Jiraiya, at least saying thank you would be proper for it.

After fixing herself up in the bathroom she walked down the floow, hoping he was at the restaurant because she didn’t really want to ask around for him. Opening the door after some time of silent walking she immediately spotted his white hair.

Jiraiya handed her the keys and escorted her to the hotel.  Sure as he’d said, it was a big, flashy place filled with cute porters and maids - just the way he liked it.  If he had the choice he’d always stay in places like this, but out on the road luxury like this was hard to come by.  He had to enjoy it while he could.

“The room is number 14,” he explained to her.  ”Come meet me down in the restaurant once you’re a little more awake.”  He grinned, practically smelling the book sales money already.  ”If there’s anything else you need, you just feel free to ask old uncle Jiraiya!”

Sakura nodded while she had already begun stumbling to the room. Too tired for realizing how much luxury was around her she reached the door and opened it. The sight in front of her would have normally caused her to go crazy, but right now all she cared for was the bed. It looked unused and after hesitating for two seconds she crawled into it, took the blanket and curled up, falling asleep immediately.

“Sakura, good to see you. I trust you’ve been doing well”

“What do you want you perv?”

“Come on, is that any way to treat an old friend?” Jiraiya grinned.  ”Especially one as handsome and heroic as me?”

Late.

ifightforyounaru:

i looked at my cloak it was 12:00 “oh No!” is

all i said when i hurry myself up off of my bed i was late for the Hyuuga Clan meeting, Father is sure going to be upset because these meeting are so impotant to my clan. What im i going to do? i can’t get ready because the meeting is already half over its to late. all of a sudden i heard a knock at my door *knock knock* “Hinata” i knew that voice it was neji “the meeting is cancel due to some problem the elder’s have to deal with, ok. Even doe your late im still telling you” neji said “Thanks neji” i said in relief, yay i was not in major problem. I falled myself back into my bed smiling and thinking about him the one i chase after the one i belive so deep in to make the ninja world a better place to live in i wonder to myself what is he doing probaly doing what he does best. being himself

Jiraiya looked around, taking in the sights.  Yep, this was definitely the head of the Hyuuga clan’s property.  It was the whole package - high walls, carefully manicured gardens, even one of those bamboo things that goes ‘doink’.  Having a thing that goes ‘doink’ practically screams important.  However, Jiraiya was more interested in one of this manor’s other residents.

He knocked at the door, and then waited for a reply.  Not receiving one, he tried again and called out this time.  ”Hello?!  Is Hinata Hyuuga there?”

Jiraiya sighed, giving out a big grin.  He’d only spoken a few words to this girl, but already he could tell she was a carbon copy of Tsunade.  ”Well if you’d rather stay there on your safe, comfy bench that’s fine with me,” he joked, “but I am staying in a five star hotel just a few streets over, and I wouldn’t mind if you borrowed it for a couple hours of R and R.”

He pulled out the key for the room, jingling it in his hand.  ”Tsunade’s probably told you a few things about me no doubt, but I’m not really the big pervert she makes me out to be,” he explained, trying to gain her trust.  ”I just want to really get to know the next generation of ninjas, so maybe in exchange once you’re a little more awake you could pay me back by telling me a bit about yourself?”  He put on his best innocent face for the young girl.

Sakura looked at Jiraiya warily. She still wasn’t very convinced of what he had said, the stories of Tsunade and what she had heared from Naruto seemed realistic for her. But even though, the idea of having a hotel room… she thought about it for a moment, sighed and nodded. “If there’s anything I’m able to tell you.” She said as she yawned.

Jiraiya stopped in front of the bench, looking down the sleeping kunoichi.  ”That’s no place for a young girl like you to be taking a nap,” he commented loudly so as to wake her up.  Of course, it was just as unusual for him to be up at this hour - his publishers were demanding to see a pilot for a new book, and although he’d stayed up all night wandering the streets he still couldn’t think of anything.

However, this may have been just the opportunity he needed.  This young girl was known all throughout the village, and no doubt she had more than a few young bachelors pursuing her.  If he could get on Sakura’s good side, he’d be able to get enough stories out of her for his next ten books!  He held out his hand.

“Here, let me take you somewhere safer…”

Sakura slowly opened her eyes, blinking a few times. The loud voice that had just woke her up was a bit confusing, where was she exactly? After a short moment of looking around she remembered it, being thrown out of her house and sitting down on the bench… but had she really fallen asleep? Sakura sighed as she realized the cause of her awakening. Jiraiya wasn’t an unknown person and as the student of Tsunade she had been able to hear some stories she would like to forget now.

“What do you want?” she asked, her sleep deprived voice made her sound more rude than she was supposed to be. She stood up slowly, to at least be at her natural height. “And what did you mean by somewhere safer? I was completely awake!” Totally not true, but she couldn’t admit that.
